¿Alguna vez te han regalado algo que no esperabas?

Eso me sucedió acá en Venezuela, con “Cines Unidos” El día 10-11-2025, me llegó un correo, desde hace mucho tiempo estoy registrado allí (también en la competencia Cinex). En ese e-mail, mencionaba que por cumplir años me regalaban una entrada.

Fue algo que de verdad no imaginaba, pero me parece que es una buena táctica de comercio. ¿Por qué?, solo piensen, si yo voy seguro no iré solo, llevaré a personas que tienen que pagar su entrada, mas lo que se consume en el lugar. ¿Qué piensan de esa estrategia?

Ciertamente eso fue lo que sucedió, un fin de semana que mi ex me trajo a mi hija a mi casa. Tomé una decisión, llevarla al cine (tenía mucho sin ir o salir debido a que siempre estoy ocupado con tratamiento médico). También decidí invitar a mi mamá. Ambas pagan la mitad del precio, debido a sus edades, con mas razón aproveche la promoción.

Había varias opciones, pero elegí una que fuera apropiada para mi hija. En este caso una película animada llamada “El Gran Premio a Toda Velocidad”. Para serles sincero no tenía ninguna expectativa con esa producción.

Compré 2 entradas, y la mía canjeada. En total 3 entradas, también decidí comprar un paquete grande de cotufas. Tampoco es que pueda comer muchas cosas, o prácticamente no debería comer nada de lo que venden allí, debido a mi situación de salud.

Me parece interesante que pongan en la página web opciones para que pagues de una vez lo que vas a consumir. Solo vas y reclamas lo que compraste, mediante a un código QR que ellos te mandan. Posiblemente esto es un sistema que ya existe en todos lados, pero yo tenía mucho tiempo sin comprar una entrada al cine.

¿Qué me pareció la Película animada “El Gran Premio a Toda Velocidad”?

Seré breve para no hacer spoiler. Como comenté al principio, no esperaba nada de esta producción. Pero, debo comentar que me gustó, me pareció interesante. Con la imagen de la portada no evité pensar en Mario Kart, gran parte de la trama está basado en las carreras de coches deportivos, y cada personaje tiene un vehículo relacionado con su personalidad. No me extrañaría si en un futuro sacan un video juego basado en la historia de esta película.

Algo que me gustó, y quiero resaltar. Es que trataron el tema de la amistad, no cerrarnos a pesar que en el pasado puedan pasar cosas que nos lastiman. Siempre cooperar y trabajar en equipo son buenas opciones. Al conocer bien a esa otra persona, poco a poco vamos queriéndolo o queriéndola.

Si me preguntan. ¿La recomendarías?, realmente si, es una bonita película familiar, para pasar un rato agradable.

Situación del cine

No sé si esto suceda en todos los cines, pero este a donde fui, estaba super solo. Por un momento pensé que íbamos a ser la única familia en ir, pero al rato llegaron dos familias más. Es decir, éramos solo 3 familias viendo la película. Tal vez la situación económica del país ocasione este efecto, de que las personas no salgan de sus casas a compartir.

EXTRA

Por casualidad vimos una promoción y nos permitía llevar dos productos pagando uno solo. Aprovechamos para comprarle unas botas a mi hija y unos zapatos para la escuela. Cabe destacar que mi hija eligió sus botas, quedó encantada con ellas desde que las vio. Aunque tenía varias opciones, que a mí en particular me gustaban más, pero ella decidió y se fue de allí con sus nuevos calzados puestos.

CONCLUSIÓN

Considero que vivir este tipo de momentos con la familia, esos seres que tanto amas, son muy importantes hacerlos cada vez que se pueda. Disfrútalos porque hoy estamos, mañana no sabemos lo que pueda pasar.
Demuestra a esas personas que amas, lo que sientes por ellos. No sé Si te pase como a mí, no acostumbro a decirle lo mucho que los amo, siempre están allí para apoyarnos sin importar las dificultades.

Have you ever been given something you didn’t expect?

That happened to me here in Venezuela, with “Cines Unidos.” On 11-10-2025, I received an email. I’ve been registered there for a long time (also with their competitor Cinex). In that email, they mentioned that for my birthday they were giving me a free ticket.

It was something I truly didn’t expect, but I think it’s a good business tactic. Why? Just think about it: if I go, I surely won’t go alone. I’ll bring people who have to pay for their tickets, plus whatever is consumed at the venue. What do you think of that strategy?
That’s exactly what happened one weekend when my ex brought my daughter to my house. I made a decision: take her to the movies (I hadn’t gone out in a long time because I’m always busy with medical treatment). I also decided to invite my mom. Both pay half price due to their age, so
I took advantage of the promotion even more.

There were several options, but I chose one appropriate for my daughter. In this case, an animated movie called “The Great Speed Race.” To be honest, I had no expectations for that production.

I bought 2 tickets, and mine was redeemed. In total, 3 tickets. I also decided to buy a large popcorn combo. It’s not like I can eat much, or practically I shouldn’t eat anything they sell there, due to my health condition.

I find it interesting that they offer options on the website to pay in advance for what you’re going to consume. You just go and claim what you bought using a QR code they send you. Possibly this system already exists everywhere, but it had been a long time since I last bought a movie ticket.

What did I think of the animated movie “The Great Speed Race”?
I’ll be brief to avoid spoilers. As I mentioned at the beginning, I didn’t expect anything from this production. But I must say I liked it; I found it interesting. With the cover image, I couldn’t help but think of Mario Kart. Much of the plot is based on sports car races, and each character has a vehicle related to their personality. I wouldn’t be surprised if in the future they release a video game based on this movie’s story.

Something I liked and want to highlight is that they addressed the theme of friendship—of not closing ourselves off even if things in the past hurt us. Cooperation and teamwork are always good options. By truly getting to know another person, little by little we start caring for them.
If you ask me, Would you recommend it? Honestly, yes. It’s a nice family movie to enjoy a pleasant time together.

Cinema Situation
I don’t know if this happens in all theaters, but the one I went to was super empty. For a moment, I thought we’d be the only family there, but later two more families arrived. In other words, only 3 families watched the movie. Perhaps the country’s economic situation causes this effect, where people don’t go out to share.


EXTRA
By chance, we saw a promotion that allowed us to take two products while paying for only one. We took advantage of it to buy boots for my daughter and shoes for school. It’s worth noting that my daughter chose her boots—she was delighted with them from the moment she saw them. Although there were several options that I personally liked more, she decided, and she left with her new footwear on.

CONCLUSION
I believe that living these kinds of moments with family, those loved ones you cherish, is very important to do whenever possible. Enjoy them because today we are here, but tomorrow we don’t know what might happen. Show those people you love how you feel about them. I don’t know if it happens to you like it does to me—I’m not used to telling them how much I love them. They’re always there to support us no matter the difficulties.
