All bad

20260iidEddrtQQ21cc058.jpg

I've been away for work lately but will be heading home soon for a break...then away again. It's not all bad though; I've managed to find some time for myself and have been reading a really cool set of books on my Kindle by an author called Matthew Harffy. I manage to sleep now and then, have had some excellent meals and work has been productive. That's not all bad right?

Anyway, this post is all bad...a #saturdayselections post of some songs that all have the word bad in the title. The songs aren't bad, one is a bit more shite than the others but I like them all well enough.

Bad to the bone

Hell ain't a bad place to be

Bad dreams

What are y'all up to this weekend? Feel free to comment below and let me know about it if you want to. Or do not. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, if you want to add a track that you like with the word bad in the song or title then you can do that too.

Nothing is something, so take the time to relax a little.

Currently (but not right now I'm taking a coffee break) I'm cleaning which is not my ideal way to be spending a weekend but it has to be done and I can get everyone help today so a lot more got done ^_^

I'm going to try to wash more curtains while it's this hot (40C today, low to mid 30s over the next couple of days and then looks like it cools down to high 20s, and the curtains only get washed once a year if that) and clean more windows and maybe start painting the asbestos siding x_x when I'm slightly less likely to die of heat exhaustion.

Are you only home for the weekend?! I don't think I could cope with that much travelling x_x Yay for work being productive and at least it sounds like they take great care of you whenever they send you gallivanting all over the planet :)

Curtain washing, that sounds like something I'd never want to do although I get the need for it. I can remember my mum doing the same.

Hot there for sure. I'm not in Adelaide currently as I said in the first line of the post. Heading away again in the next week though, after going home for a bit, to somewhere that's hot and humid...not weather I enjoy.

Have a good weekend, enjoy the painting and cleaning.

Teddy swims has a great voice!

You have been traveling quite a lot recently, more than last year... Here it's still too early for spring events, so I'll just find and go at the next carnival event, there are still a few going

I agree, good voice indeed, and some good tracks also.

Loads of travel for sure, away at the moment, back for a few days and then away again for several. I travel in April as well but (at this stage) none in May however that could change.

My weekend’s not bad at all. Can’t complain.
And here’s a track that’s definitely not bad either:
One Bad Apple – The Osmonds

Interesting song, been a long time since I heard anything from the Osmonds. Old school.

Goof morning, Galenkp.

Well, I've been struggling trough the last 3 or 4 weeks to make it up the things that aren't has bad has they in fact are. Some hunger issues connected with a emotional drive, I've put me in the wrong, or in the "not so good side of the road". But I'll try to use the weekend, as a new set up instrument, and reset my mind.
For today, I have a course, that is being taken for the new shooters of my club team. The new shooters, to be accepted by the Portuguese Shooting Federation had to pass an written exam with questions about safety and laws (mostly), and then they have to handle a firearm (that isn't loaded), and demonstrate the loading and shoot, and unloading and safety steps; the third part of the exam, is the practical one. They have to put 10 shots in air pistol or air rifle, in a 10 meters distance, in a group the stays inside a 10 cm radius circumference (for rifle) or 20 cm (pistol).

After the course, I hope that I have the afternoon for me, and to align my thoughts with the "better side of the road"

Let me drop another song with the word "BAD" in the tittle. This one is very energetic! Let's hope that could inspire me to wake up and take a turn to right side!

I didn't know you were a shooter; just air rifles or centrefire rifles and hand guns as well?

An excellent choice of music indeed, thanks for sharing.

Good morning, Galenkp!

I have been a shooter since 1997. At that time, I only went to the shooting range with my father. I shot a small-caliber pistol (.22LR) at 25 meters. After my father passed away, I ended up returning to shooting, but in a more structured way. I bought a CO2 pistol (Walter CP3) and shot in the P10 category, at a distance of 10 meters. In 2015, I bought a second-hand Steyer LP10E, which is the gun I have now and really enjoy shooting with. Apart from this discipline, I also do Recreational Pistol (.22LR at 25m) and Free Pistol (.22LR at 50m). Although I also have a small caliber .22LR rifle, I participate in some events, very occasionally with my compadre, in the 50m career. In large caliber (.38, 9mm, etc.), although I have authorization and a federal license to shoot with these calibers, I have only done so in training with friends' guns. I haven't started shooting with large caliber yet. Who knows, maybe one day I'll make the transition from rimfire to center fire!

It is just 2:30am Saturday here. So my weekend hasn't really started yet. Have a friend coming over later for coffee and conversation later. Mostly thunderstorms and rain today so no outside activity planned. Going to just make shit up as I go. Wife has been busy baking lately, so may pester her in the kitchen just to live a little risky.

Having a mate over to shoot the shit is not a bad thing; veteran also?

I reckon you settle in with some coffee and snacks and tall some shit and watch the storms roll by. Seems like a good Saturday.

Oh yeah, you risk the old pester the wife situation as well? I'm renowned for it and bare the scars to prove it! 😂

Yeah, he was in the Army. But I don't hold that against him :-)

Always enjoy shooting the breeze over coffee with him. We both get a lot out of our time together.

I got a knot on the back of my head once from it. Story for another time. :-)

Haha! Good to hear he's not (still) in the dog box because he was Army. We don't have Marines here, so grunts are all Army.

The business trip didn't go too badly; in fact, it was very productive in every way.

The first song reminds me of a film, it's great!!! I didn't know the last one, but I loved it!

I'll leave you with the first one that came to mind. I've always been a fan of his.

Sums up life. When you're young, the bad times roll off faster because you know you have your whole life ahead of you. When you're old enough, each bad day feels like it's stealing something from you, so you learn from it if you are smart enough.

Led Zeppelin was an Experience to see in concert.

Thanks! Looking for a song to post took me back. Way back. I needed that!

Oh, and never Google "I song with bad in it." It's scary what comes up. :D

I can imagine Led Zeppelin being somewhat of an experience being such an iconic band and all.

I'd never heard this song before, and I've listened to "Stairway to Heaven" a lot, which I love. I still don't like "Good Times, Bad Times."

Thorogood has always amazed me that he was able to get as popular as he did. It's not that his vocals are that good and his songs aren't that complex, but people know them and love them all over the world.

I had to listen to Bonn Scott due to the fact that I am about to get on an Allegiant Airlines flight to Omaha NE Monday afternoon...

I said I would never fly again.

I am now completely convinced that Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be.

Thanks 😊

If you go down you'll only have to worry about it until you hit the earth. I read somewhere that there's a greater chance of dying driving your car than being on a plane though, I'm sure you'll be fine. I've got a few flights this week too.

I am a tough old bastard. I am sure I will be fine. As long as I dont hurl my breakfast all over the passanged sitting in front of me. (Row 30 last row window seat.)
