What does Hive Savings Do? Does it earn interest along with HBD?

Within the Hive Wallet there is a Savings section where you can save Hive and HBD.  HBD in savings increases at 20.00% APR as defined by the witnesses but nothing is stated about Hive earning interest in Savings.
