Rain, 21Mile Trainer Ride, Scapes, Spinach, Bridge Rebuild, Spud Sorting, Weeding, Dinner - Monday
Got the boys to school yesterday morning then once home I went to go for a ride but looked at the doppler and decided to just do a trainer ride inside.

I was trying to keep speed and cadence up which got me 21 miles in 45 minutes.
The rain took its sweet time materializing so I guess I could have gone out for the ride, but whatever, I had stuff to do around the farm for the day. The scapes needed to be picked which are beginning to slow down finally. Still a few rows putting them out that I need to keep an eye on. I try to cut them as soon as possible to eliminate the growth going to the flower so all the energy can go to the bulbs.

Then I went through the greenhouse and picked another fat bag of spinach leaves. Some huge ones all the way down to baby leaves on the flower stalks.

The bridge across the creek had broken and required a new support. I realized I have the pile of logs in the yard so grabbed on of them and used it as the new beam. I removed half the plank boards, then lifted the end with them still attached to the side and slid the new log into place. Reset the board and planks to overlap the log then attached the planks back.

What rain we got over the day was pretty light but it kept it nice and cool for the day.

The bridge is SOOO much stronger now and feels good and solid to walk across.

I had to sort last years potatoes out for the still solid ones which got bagged and taken to the house to eat. The wheelbarrow is full of plantable but I have to devise a place to put them still...

The boys got home from school and I went out to the greenhouse to weed. The tomatoes are doing good and I have a few cucumber plants that managed to grow. I need to reseed them then likely just buy my pepper plants as none sprouted. The boys went out and hauled the piles to the animals.

They sliced the potatoes for me and I made the scalloped potatoes for dinner.

Today I get the boys to school, have my weekly session, stop at North 40 for a new tool and pepper plants, will stop at client's house(s) regarding the irrigation, work around the farm, then this evening is J's last school concert of the year.
