1981 proof set

Everyone,

Today Im showing one of the cheapest ways to add silver to the stack... if you're Canadian anyways.

This set, and most sets, have only 1 silver coin. The set is almost completely clad, and as a result, you buy the silver dollar and the clad coins are essentially free.

That is the 50% silver dollar. I believe it is about 0.3 Ozt silver total.

Most of these sets I bought for about 15 bucks in the past. Ill likely Crack the silver out of all my proof sets, and try to unload all the clad to a shop.

Cheers!

Its a trick Ive learned. Nobody wants these proof sets anymore so you can get them at or below spot, and all the clad are free, and still face value! Also, some people dont know that some sets from the 90's were all sterling no clad!

You've got quite a niche going there my friend!!👍😀
The two local coin shops we have are a bit on the greedy side no such deals.....🙄

I have a few of these nice sets but the cases do take up a lot of valuable hiding space.

They take up a lot of room for the amount of silver. And the clad stuff is worth pretty much face value.
