Cuadro al estilo Venecia || Painting in the Venetian style 🎨
¡Hola Chicos!
Hoy retomamos los post por decimocuarta vez jajaja esta vez les quiero contar sobre un cuadro que pinté en conjunto con la triada de dientes estrellados de la que les hablé hace algunas semanas.
Cuando la cliente me comentó que quería los cuadros de los dientes, este cuadro también estaría relacionado a algo de odontología, y ese mismo día por la tarde luego se conversar con su hija cambió de parecer y me pidió un paisaje y ya tenía esta idea en mente.
La imagen que me compartió mostraba un cuadro hecho con acuarelas y yo nunca he pintado con acuarelas a decir verdad, pero asumí el reto y traté de adaptar la idea a la pintura al frío con la que contaba.

Today we're back with posts for the fourteenth time, hahaha. This time I want to tell you about a painting I did in conjunction with the triad of star-shaped teeth I mentioned a few weeks ago.
When the client told me she wanted the tooth paintings, this one would also be related to dentistry, but that same afternoon, after talking with her daughter, she changed her mind and asked me for a landscape, and I already had this idea in mind.
The image she shared showed a painting done with watercolors, and I've never painted with watercolors before, to be honest, but I took on the challenge and tried to adapt the idea to the cold-press paint I had.
Abri el empaque donde venía el lienzo, tracé el boceto a lápiz y luego comencé a agregar pintura, iniciando con el agua del río, pues sentí que iba a ser todo un reto y debía abordarlo primero para poder ocuparme del resto.
Al principio no lograba ese efecto de acuarelas pero a medida que avanzaba me daba cuenta de que forma podía lograrlo.
I opened the packaging containing the canvas, sketched the design in pencil, and then began adding paint, starting with the river water. I felt it would be quite a challenge and I needed to tackle it first before moving on to the rest.
At first, I couldn't achieve that watercolor effect, but as I progressed, I figured out how to do it.
Lograr los ángulos en el cuadro también fue un reto pues no soy fan de pintar cosas con formas geométricas y las paredes eran exactamente eso, varias rectas que debía replicar.
Soy más de hacer pinceladas libres y ese cuadro representó para mí una prueba que sabía que podía superar pero que fue un poco incómoda por sacarme de esa zona de confort.
Hice el puente, y por fin pude iniciar con la vegetación, que era la parte que más ansiaba pintar porque era lo que se asemejaba más a esas pinceladas sueltas que me encantan.
Pinté primero las hojas y ya luego las flores rojas y rosadas.
Achieving the right angles in the painting was also a challenge, as I'm not a fan of painting things with geometric shapes, and the walls were exactly that: several straight lines that I had to replicate.
I prefer free brushstrokes, and this painting represented a test for me that I knew I could overcome, but it was a little uncomfortable because it took me out of my comfort zone.
I finished the bridge, and finally I could start on the vegetation, which was the part I was most eager to paint because it was the closest thing to those loose brushstrokes that I love.
I painted the leaves first, and then the red and pink flowers.
Finalmente aborde la parte del fondo que eran unas pequeñas manchas simulando ser unas ventanas de edificios que estaban a lo lejos. Acá fue donde se fue que mejor dominé el estilo acuarela.
Arreglé ciertos detalles, y en este punto recibí un mensaje de la cliente, quien me pedía encarecidamente que le agregara sutilmente el logo de su clínica a alguna parte del cuadro. Lo dejó a mi criterio y me pareció que lo mejor era colocarlo en el puente como una especie de chapa.
Y así luego de agregar la capa de brillo protector fue que terminé este cuadro, que representó varios retos pero que siento logré superarlos con éxito.
La cliente quedó súper feliz, sobretodo al ver en persona el detalle de su logo y se fue feliz con los 4 cuadros.

Finally, I tackled the background, which consisted of small smudges meant to resemble windows of distant buildings. This is where I truly mastered the watercolor style.
I fixed a few details, and at this point, I received a message from the client, who strongly requested that I subtly add her clinic's logo somewhere in the painting. She left it up to me, and I decided that the best place for it was on the bridge, like a kind of badge.
And so, after adding the protective gloss layer, I finished this painting, which presented several challenges, but I feel I successfully overcame them.
The client was thrilled, especially when she saw the detail of her logo in person, and she left happy with all four paintings.
