Textile & Fiber
Six days ago I posted the first part about my experience at the annual textile and fiber exhibition called Ariadnae and today I'd like to show you more of these beauties, if you're interested in this kind of art.

For me, this is a very special event and always make sure to attend as it's the biggest of its kind and it motivates me as well. It is an occasion to see what like minded people can create, not that I consider myself an artist of any kind, but it's the closest type of art and can imagine myself creating some things, but till then, let's see what the artists put together for this year's edition.
Bianca Cigher Fernea - Encounters On The Roads Of Life I., II., III.
I would call it abstract, but I also agree with the title, it describes what life is perfectly.
Gyöngyvér Kiss - Untitled Miniatures
This is definitely not my kind of art, but I like how the artist chose the frames and the background for the artworks.
Mária Hunyadi - Orchid
Now this is where things started to get interesting for me. This is a work made with lace and golden foil and what struck me was the colors used in it. The copper red hair matches the gold aspect and the wonderful frame perfectly. The pattern is lovely as well.
I believe this was custom made and to create such a pattern, you need to design it first, which requires some skills.
Adriana Alexandra Dobra - Astral Context
For me, this artwork is interesting more from creating perspective. The meaning is not so important, but I'm looking at how it was made. Seems easy, but requires some planning, if you want all the lines in place. It's a very well executed piece and the colors are well selected as well.

Mihaela - Daniela Stancioiu - Folia
It's an interesting creation, but not really my cup of tea.
Zita Kolumbán Kántor - Jacob's Ladder
This is a very interesting one, containing two pieces: the background and the so called ladder, which is a series of pieces with flower print lace. If you look at the background, you can see some silhouettes with wings, maybe angels. What I like about this artwork is the delicacy of it.
Zsuzsanna Nagy - Time Line
This was one of the winners for me. Obviously first you notice forms and colors and after your brain processes what you see, you try to think further and try to understand what it is.
The base is fleece and was painted on and the extension on the sides are different color of yarns. Now take a step back, look at it as a whole and tell me what you see.
For me it symbolizes how earth, the moon and the sun. The bottom one is the night with the moon, then the sun rises and the word passes from being black or dark to being colorful. The top one is the golden hour if I can use this term I hate so much, the sunset, when the setting sun is painting everything in red. Maybe this is not what the artist meant, but that's what I see here. It is a brilliant work and I love it!
Mira Marincas - Mapi...
I guess this is the riddle of the day for you. The title is not visible as part is hidden behind the frame and honestly, I can't really figure out what it is. So you tell me.
Gabriella Fábián - Night Blooming
This is it for today, I hope you have a favorite and could show you something you've never seen before. Let me know in a comment :)

Nope, just want the community to have quality photos.
The video was great.
No drama, don't mind. Mybe soon i get to it again. Maybe no, who know.
I'll tell you one thing... what perfection and finesse, I couldn't stop looking at the pattern and the texture!
Jacob's Ladder is spectacular, especially because of the silhouettes in the background. And then that piece with such striking colours... I'm fascinated by the colours and the energy they convey. Those three pieces... they're fabulous!💗
I knew you would like these. It's fascinating what these artists can create and it's definitely a different kind of art.
I could spend hours looking at those textures and what they achieve... it’s so different and beautiful!
I spent an hour in the gallery 😆
😍😍😍😍
as soon as i seen the preview i knew i'd love Time Line, and it's my favorite after reading all the post... it seems a paint not even texile art for how well is done!
for me it describes pregnacy/birthm the red one, then life, the colored one and death the dark one
I'm glad you liked the Time Line, but it's surprising what you see in it, or how you see it. It certainly makes sense, but would have never thought of it like that. never in a million years :)
that's the good thing about art, anyone can interpret it differently!
Zsuzsanna Nagy - Time Line
That one is really cool, and stood out to me compared to the other ones. It is really eye catching.
I was thinking along the same lines as you, but straight away I thought of the painting The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch
I like triptych, especially those that are covering progress. The Garden of Earthly Delights is a bit too crowded for my taste, but I understand it. Those were different times with different social requirements.
I think that's intentional, I'm sure heaven and hell are over crowded too.
I was looking at it again, and I find it hard to believe that the piece there is created using yarn, fleece and paint. It all works so well so well together.
It is definitely exceptional in so many ways. At first I thought it's just the fabric, but then I saw it's sown that way, to have the texture, then painted and then the yarn matched at the edges. Must have taken some time to make it, but it's brilliant. Imagine the talent you have to have to imagine the whole thing first as that's the first step. Then the rest.
Yeah, it wouldn't be the type of thing you could just wing; it would take a lot of forethought.
I work with yarn doing the rug tufting, but I couldn't imagine incorporating it into a painting. At least with the rug tufting I outline the image, and from there it is essentially paint-by-numbers.
Wow what a stunning collection of art I remember your first post about the Ariadnae exhibition and this second part is absolutely breathtaking The intricate details in the textile and fiber work are incredible and your photography captures the texture and essence of the gallery so beautifully It feels like taking a virtual tour right through your lens Thank you for documenting and sharing this wonderful artistic experience with us 📸✨🎨
