Visitando La virgen de las velitas [Esp/Eng]

ENGLISH
Greetings, dear and cherished friends. I hope you all have a happy and blessed start to the week. As I mentioned in previous posts, a little over a week ago I visited the Basilica of the Virgin of the Valley with my family. As you all know, churches don’t allow all devotees to light candles inside the church, much less in front of the image.
That’s why there’s a small, very simple and beautiful chapel outside this cathedral with an image of our little Virgin, and in front of it, a place to set candles.

There, we can all go to thank our little Virgin and, with all our love and devotion, leave our prayers with a little candle.
My daughter gave her this name because every year we go to light candles for the Virgin, so she asks if we’re going to see the “Virgin of the Candles.” I found this gesture—allowing us to light our candles and offer our prayers—to be very beautiful.
This little Virgin receives many candles every day; in fact, I went in the morning and there was no space left to place my candles, but I managed to find a spot anyway.
