Steem currently is not very profitable for most members. Photography seems to do well, but vote value is generally around $0.01 for every $100 a voter has in their steempower, which means lots of people's votes are not even a penny in value.
Sadly, it seems Steem is failing to do what it was designed to do. However, over time this may change, currently it is still an effective social media with access to audiences.
i still a bit confuse about this too, earlier i have 0.96 steem and then next 2 days check back already become 0.67 or lower, dont really know the calculation
