Introducing Waves mobile app
Ecencials, It has been a year and a half since we launched Waves on Ecency.com, and ten months since we introduced it on the Ecency mobile app. During this time, Waves has become one of our most popular and beloved features, with approximately 40,000 Waves created within a year.

We are really excited to introduce new Waves Mobile App that promises to enhance your experience. Our goal is to keep things simple and enjoyable, allowing you to just Wave and appreciate the ease of use without the complexity of additional features. It allows to read other microblogging feeds like Threads, Moments and Buzz.
Waves App intentionally lighter and includes less features to make Waving easy for new users. In this initial release we wanted to focus on core features that makes waves popular, as we gather feedback from you, we can allocate some resources to grow it into thriving app.
The Waves allows community members to share content freely and receive rewards for their contributions. Each "Wave," can include up to 250 characters, along with links, images, and GIFs. Enabling you to express your thoughts, opinions, updates, or information in concise and clear messages.
Advantages of Waving
Increased Posting Frequency: Wavers have the opportunity to share brief messages more regularly, as opposed to the time-consuming process of crafting longer, traditional blog posts. Increase audience and followers, grow your community.
Reduced Time Investment: Creating shorter Waves is a quicker process than developing more extensive content, allowing for efficient communication.
Mobile Accessibility: The ability to create Waves through the app ensures that users can engage with content from anywhere, enhancing accessibility.
As our constant commitment to our community and opensource network, Waves mobile app is also completely opensource.
Just don’t forget… quality still comes over quantity.

For Waves we don't have translation project yet on crowdin, once we set it up, we will ask community for help translating. 🙏

Hi there, nice app. Been trying it today for the first time, sitting outside being on my cell and all :). I was a little puzzled that when typing it wouldn't automatically capitalize the first letter after a period, unlike in the Ecency app.
Also, what are Moments, Threads and Buzz? Are they completely separate from each other? Sorry if this was already answered somewhere, I have not searched yet. Thank you.

i scrolled down to artifacts, but there is not a link to download the apk
Artifacts are basically built APK files that is sent to playstore after CI builds the app. All build process is automated for waves.
So, cannot download from github then?
There is download, artifact is zip file which has Android bundle
So i would have to compile it myself? (Don't know how!)
Not at all, did you try downloading artifact and install on your device?
Looks like artifact has expiry, we just checked it is expired and cannot be downloaded. We will do releases like we do with Ecency mobile app going forward
With instructions how to install artifact too please, would be good. i don't think it's like installing an apk if i remember rightly when i tried a while ago, although maybe it had already expired.

So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
