Nature Rules and Other Thoughts

The gentlest of breezes carry the seeds of the dandelion across the lawn, far and away from the arms of his mother. It is with childish delight that I watch, holding closely a ritual, the magical wish that is embedded in my soul. Eyes closed tight, I slip a little wish in, sending it on its way - one of the many pleasures of my youth.

Do you know the secret handshake of this ritual?

Carried by the wind. Oh, that is the way I would like to be. What an extraordinary flight that would be! I watch as it comes apart, dispersing in all directions... a free fall of sorts. Fly away! Fly away! Fly away, all!

rudbeckia 2.png

The sun’s rays touch down and color me grateful. There is comfort in sharing as all lines of thought lead to the warmth of this feeling. My world has been colored with love, and so, I pass this sentiment on to you, my friend – to pass it on to another and another, until one day, we will have decorated the world.

Happy are those that rain sunshine down upon another — at the corner of sunshine and happiness.

LAVENDER 3.JPG

The flight of the bumblebee! How I love the intensity of its movement, flitting from flower to flower, zigging and zagging, hunting and gathering the pollen and nectar, both found in the lavender plants.

"Flight of the Bumblebee" runs at a frantic pace, with uninterrupted runs of chromatic notes. The range of notes and pitch on display doesn’t pose much of a challenge for musicians, although moving them quickly enough to match the pace can prove to be a daunting task. A great deal of skill is required to perform this complex bit, which has been more evident in various renditions throughout popular culture.

It also ended up being a popular piece for guitarists, who use it to display their technical prowess. The original version was meant to utilize violins, although various guitar versions have surfaced throughout the years. However, there isn’t any master version singlehandedly for guitar. Its popularity is down to the fact that few players can resist the challenge to delve into fast-paced music. The composer wanted to create a musical picture portraying of a bee buzzing around at break-neck speed, which he successfully achieved. Most renditions are performed at “lightning-fast speeds,” playing right into the hands of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. source

We have it so good. We enjoy it so much. We express it so little. It can make your heart shine like the stars in the universe. The most beautiful feeling in the world. Tulips, long gone, but never forgotten. Their beauty is legendary. Flowers. Always. To color my world. Always a flower. #alwaysaflower❤️

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

The Naming of Cats

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn’t just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I’m as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.

Powerful... takes us back to better times. These are the memories that we all should focus on... not things of negativity, confusion, uncertainty, or fear. Life can sometimes be unkind. Mother Nature is always there for us... to remind us what really matters. I'd ask you what you wished for... but that would ruin the ambiance!

Love and light, my dear friend.

Life can sometimes be unkind, but we have to step over that and embrace anything positive that we can. I always make sure that I don't miss the lesson. Never miss the lesson.

Hehe! I cannot lie! I won't tell you what I wished for! :)

Thanks so much, Wes~

Who didn't help the dandelion seeds fly? I used to make wishes too, in childhood, but I don't think they came true. I'm thinking of trying again.

I don't know anyonevwho didn't! If they dont come true, I ask a different way. It is free for the asking.

Hi, Dan! I hope your week is going well. Already Tuesday. Where does the time go?

Do you ask otherwise? Of course, I think there are many ways you can ask, the important thing is who you ask.

The days of the week run, run... I posted Tuesday for WednesdayWalk, I thought it was Wednesday. I'm already getting confused and mixing up the days.

It's such a mix of good and bad that I actually believe I'm living!

I made a post a couple of weeks ago telling how I met Magda. I guess you haven't seen it and I still think you might be interested, that's why I put the link Have you ever been on a blind date?

I hope you are well, @dswigle, I wish you good days!

There are many ways to ask the same question, for sure! Who you ask is probably even more important. Some will give the answer you want, others the truth. :)

I believe everyone has a mix, just different percentages of each, and also probably just as important as how one reacts to situations.

I am so sorry and such a lousy friend. I have been missing important posts since the beginning of the year. :( Thank you for dropping the link for me.

Have a great night if you are still up or a wonderful Thursday!

Haha, how I loved this, @dswigle!

Since we've come this far, I have to say that I was sad to see that you missed some of my stories, but I missed some of yours too. It's human, it's long and tiring. Please forgive me for being sad. I'm not sad anymore. I'm glad I'm learning to understand situations correctly.

If only we could colour / decorate the world with love.
Let’s spread it far… for all 🩷

Never had a cat as a pet or heard of it, that it should have 3 names. That’s interesting to hear.
I can imagine like with a dog, you can call it with other names and it still listens.

Have a wonderful evening Denise and soon mid week 😊👋🏻🥰🤗 enjoy it all.
Much love!

Oh dswigle, that first image and the bee and lavender image are so nice. I'm just getting used to using my guy's camera when I steal it if he's not looking and now I want to try photographing a bee. I'll probably have one partly blurry image to show and 300 terrible ones. Thank you for sharing these images.

There is so something magical about blowing the dandelion seeds into the wind, perhaps the memories from such a wonderful time in life mingling with life today. The best of both worlds.

The entire farm was abuzz! The noise was deafening and they were busy! I look forward to seeing some pictures from you, although I believe you have been posting some already, yes?

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your words. Have a great rest of your day!

I've done a few photo posts yes, nothing too amazing, just flowers. I always use my own photos though, I don't see the point in using someone else's as it doesn't seem personal. I'll do some more photos when I have a chance.

Everyone is the worst critic of their work. I like using my own photos and do, most times. I won't say always because I have used a stock photo a couple of times, but, it is not a regular habit.

I hope you week is going fine! Thank you for stopping by and leaving your words.

Our dog is finally settling down now that she is older. If we ever get another one I need to specifically look for something low energy!

It does take some breeds longer than others. French bulldogs, low energy. Believe it or not, a Great Dane! What couch potatoes! Bassett Hound.

It is something we don't look for when we first look for a dog, but, I totally understand it!!

What a beautiful and inspiring piece! I love the way you capture the magic of nature and the simple joys of life. Your writing is so lyrical and evocative, and I can really feel the love and appreciation you have for the world around you.

I especially enjoyed your description of the dandelion seeds being carried away by the wind. It's such a simple image, but it's full of wonder and possibility. I love the way you compare it to a free fall, and I can't help but think about all the places those seeds might end up.

Your words also made me think about the importance of spreading love and happiness. You write so beautifully about how we can all make the world a better place by simply being kind and compassionate to one another. It's a message that we all need to hear, and I'm so glad you shared it with us.

Thank you. That is so very kind of you. I am glad you could imagine it the way I presented it.

I do think we all could do a better job at spreading love and happiness, wherever we go, whatever we do. If we all did this, how could the world not be a better place?

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your words.

Have a wonderful night~

I don't mind at all, I am always happy to see your face here. I love my kitties, I really do. They are so loving and comforting, at their own will, of course. :) I cannot believe it is Thursday already and now I need to think about #MarketFriday.

Surely you didn't think I did that ahead of time, did you? It would be a lot simpler, wouldn't it?

The flight of the bumblebee is wicked, isn't it??? :) Hello, hello, Tracey! I hope you are having a great evening!

Always a flower to colour all of our worlds, vicariously through YOU, lovely lady. That is exactly how it works, ya know 😉

We have the most synchronicitous timing between us. Sometimes, I am convinced we exist on entirely separate planes. Perhaps that could explain the dreamy, ethereal quality I experience when reading your words in combination with some of the most joyful, natural beauty shots.

Of course, I stopped by to say I hope you are happy, well and your life is messy with joy.

Sadly I find we are slightly out of step once again haha. Words are not perishable by design and these will be here when you return to ensure you remember that you are remembered, thought of and matter to those who miss you and who realise just how important your little spot in the universe is, nobody else could fill it in quite the same way.

Hmm, it appears I rambled a little longer than I expected to...

Quelle surprise

See ya soon my friend. Be happy, be well, be the Swigle (no one else can do it like you!!!) 😎🌻
