Pokemon TCG Pocket - Pulsing Aura Set Reveal

Hi there. There is a set reveal in the Pokemon TCG Pocket mobile game. Pulsing Aura (B3) is set to release on April 28, 2026. The featured Pokemon is Mega Lucario ex.

I cover some of the initial revealed cards from Pokebeach.

There is also a trailer.

Budew

Budew with 30 HP has also made its way to the Pocket game. Instead of item locking like in the physical card game, this Budew attack makes the Defending Pokemon lose all Abilities. The abilities come back when the Defending Pokemon leaves the Active Spot.

Treecko & Mega Sceptile ex

Treecko is a good Grass Basic Pokemon. For one Grass Energy, Pound does 20 damage.

Grovyle is unknown.

Mega Sceptile ex is the Stage 2 evolution of Grovyle. This has 210 HP, one retreat cost and Fire weakness.

Terminating Tail requires 2 Grass Energy to deal 130 damage. You discard 1 Grass Energy and then your opponent's Active Pokemon is Poisoned.

Vaporeon ex

I think Vaporeon ex is the last Eeveelution to get a Pokemon ex version. Here it is.

This one has 160 HP, a three retreat cost, Lightning weakness, one ability and one attack. Wave Splash requires 2 Water Energy to deal 80 damage.

Frozen Flow can be used once during your turn if Vaporeon ex is in the Active Spot. You may choose to switch out the opponent's Active Pokemon to the Bench. The opponent chooses a new Active Pokemon. This ability is pretty much like Sabrina.

Riolu & Mega Lucario ex

Here is a new version of Riolu. This one has 60 HP and one attack. For one Fighting energy, Fighting Fist does 10 base damage. If the opponent's Active Pokemon is a Pokemon ex then this attack does 30 more damage. For a Basic Pokemon, this Riolu is kind of dangerous.

Mega Lucario ex is the evolved version of Riolu. This Stage 1 Mega Pokemon ex has 190 HP, a one retreat cost and Psychic weakness. Fighting Pulse requires 2 Fighting Energy to deal 90 base damage. If there is at least 1 extra Fighting Energy on it, then this attack does 50 more damage (140 damage). For a beatstick attacker, Mega Lucario ex looks pretty strong.

Lucario based decks may consider running one of this Mega and the one of the attack boosting Lucario.

Bisharp Art Card

Bisharp is the Stage 1 Metal evolution of Pawniard. Night Slash does not require Metal Energy. It can take 2 of any Energy type to deal 60 damage and then run away to the Bench.

Field Blower

Field Blower is an Item card that lets you discard a Pokemon Tool card from a Pokemon or discard a Stadium in play. This looks like a good removal Item card.

The major disadvantages with cards like this is that the opponent may not play any Tools or any Stadium cards in their deck. Some decks may put one copy of this and some deck may find other cards more useful than this.

Arena of Antiquity

Arena of Antiquity is a dedicated Stadium card for Fighting Pokemon. Attacks used by each Fighting Pokemon do 20 more damage to the opponent's Active Pokemon ex.

Korrina

Korrina is a niche Supporter card that goes really well with Fighting Pokemon. During this turn, attacks used by your Fighting Pokemon do 30 more damage to the opponent's Active Pokemon ex.

Kubfu

Kubfu does not deal damage but it is needed for either Single Strike Urshifu or Rapid Strike Urshifu. This art looks nice. If this was printed physically, this card would sell really well.

Rapid Strike Urshifu

Rapid Strike Urshifu is one evolution version for Kubfu. This one has a 3 retreat cost, Lightning weakness and 120 HP. The Double Type ability makes Rapid Strike Urshifu both a Water type and a Fighting type. Double typing is really good as it would make this compatible with Misty, Korrina and other Fighting boosting cards.

Tornado Shot requires one Water Energy and one Colourless Energy to deal 40 damage to the Active Pokemon. You discard one Water Energy to deal 40 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon.

Single Strike Urshifu

Single Strike Urshifu is the Dark evolution of Kubfu. This Double Type ability makes this one both a Dark type and a Fighting type. Power Blast requires 2 Dark Energy and one Colourless Energy to deal 110 damage with the drawback of discarding 1 Dark Energy from Single Strike Urshifu.

Closing Notes

Fighting Pokemon get a huge boost from this Pulsing Aura set. Lucario based decks will definitely see play.

It is unknown if non-Fighting decks get a boost. Field Blower looks good in some decks.

More cards to be revealed as the release date of April 28, 2026 comes soon.

Thank you for reading.
