Boycott Indonesia for Its Plastic Contribution
Don't go visit Indonesia. The people throw plastic every where and it ends up in the ocean. Indonesia has been named the world's second largest producer of rubbish found in the world's ocean, with the figure standing at 187,2 million tonnes contributed by Indonesia alone.
"We are second only to China, which dumps some 262,9 million tonnes of rubbish into the ocean," said the Directorate General for Garbage, Waste Management, and Dangerous Chemicals for the Ministry of Forestry and the Environments, Tuti Hendrawati Mintarsih in Jakarta onTuesday, "
Time to bycott this country!
Don't forget there is a giant island of plastic floating in the middle of the Pacific ocean the size of Texas. We need to clean it up before the plastic turns into micro fibers which end up in the fish.
I don't think that boycotting is the best answer. Maybe we should try to find solutions like, for example, the Plastic Bank (https://www.plasticbank.org/) that could help them clearing the country.
