A youthful second

Mechanical trees and paper leaves;
stems and stalks of legacies
sit squat beneath the shaded eaves
of seasons growing wan.
Across the withered lawn and dirt
where older scars run underfoot:
newer creatures run and skirt
the obstacles warm-bright.
The light of clinging March extends
to fondle all the drooping stems
between the brush, around the bends
of springtime soon to pass.
And so, alas, the pollen-days
quick overtake the sullen corse
of winter's melancholy ways
a youthful second long.

The second to last is my favorite, the ones with the houses, the perspective of the trees up high, looking at the leaves, love it.

LOVE this first stanza - the alliteration is gorgeous and I love the image it presents.
The way you changed the outlook of the images is out of these world totally. I have always struggled with writing a nature poem because descriptive imagery has always been a challenge but then this is beautiful, the description is beautiful
This verse is beautiful although I haven't really experienced the weathers that are portrayed there, it felt so beautiful to be able to imagine it outwardly. Well written my friend. @dpend

STOPI enjoyed reading this. You didn't much of a Spring. Just a couple weeks ago it was snowing. Wonder what the summer will bring for you.
All the images have their charm, but the last of the series in faded tones comes close to my twisted idea of chaotic beauty revealing an interior full of noise and fear. I look at an eye in the center and the eye looks at me. Inside and out, time flies the dreamy colors with the speed of a blink of an eye.
