Chelsea walked into this one with 60% possession. Twelve shots. Twelve corners to Brentford's four.

On paper, that's a team in control.

On the pitch, they lost 3-0.

Brentford sat in, absorbed the pressure, and waited. No panic, no chasing the ball. Just patience.

Then the hour mark hit, and everything changed.

Sixty-one minutes in, Brentford broke the deadlock. Chelsea barely had time to reset before it was 2-0, then 3-0 in stoppage time.

Three goals. All in the last thirty minutes. All while Chelsea was still the team dominating the stat sheet.

That's the thing about possession football. It looks good on a graphic. It means nothing if you can't finish the moments that matter, and Brentford made sure Chelsea never got the chance to.

Twelve shots, two on target. That's the real story here, not the 60%.

Chelsea's front line had Palmer, Neto, Estevao and Welbeck on the pitch. All that talent, and not one of them found the net.

Brentford didn't need talent tonight. They needed a plan, and they executed it perfectly.

Sometimes the scoreboard tells you everything the stats sheet won't.
