Should we listen to our ancestors? - MCGI TOPIC | THE OLDPATH

It matters so much who we listen to. We shouldn't dwell on everything or everyone. This begs the question of whether we should obey mankind or God instead. God's standards, not man's, should always serve as the benchmark by which we decide to live our lives and carry out the actions we carry out.

Although Abraham's ancestors had a history of idolatry, he intentionally chose not to follow in their footsteps. He made the decision to walk in the way of the one true God. Putting aside our trust in God can be the worst thing that can happen to us because it can sideline us away from God's purpose. For this reason, God sent His son Jesus to lead us away from the path of darkness and direct us toward the path of light.

The decision to live our lives in the dark just because our ancestors lived in the dark doesn't sound reasonable. Each of us has a life to live and decisions to execute.
