SOBER
They had it all
Opportunities and fame
But it faded like a polluted air.
From sparkling childhood
To the making of stars.
They uprooted all degrees of fear
But emptiness held them down.
In the mirror, they saw ghosts of themselves
But perfection we saw.
Isolated with pains of riches
They found hope in substance.
We watch them flew and soar
But our taste for more,
Dragged them to dust.
Now needles and alcohols propel them
To a life of loneliness and mistrust.
We compare them to gods
Tattoo them on our wrists
Worship them as idols
And now we watch them melt.
Ambitions have derailed their souls
talents drifted away.
Like flash, they are forgotten
And their fame blew to the wind.
Now their tears drop like rain
Opportunities lost and erased
While they battled to stay sober,
In rehab.

80 to 90% of celebs has being to rehab due to drugs etc. just bcuz they want to perform and stay ahead of the game

This is so attention grabbing and really speaks to those in the entertainment industry who battle behind closed doors but the public view them as perfect completely oblivious. Really great poem i enjoyed it very much.
