Hive Open Mic ( #openmic ) is a global community celebrating live music on Hive. Each week is a new event, encouraging musicians to share songs with an international audience.

Our community's open mic event attracts 100+ musicians and thousands of listeners each week. We provide a haven for creative expression and genuine connection. All are welcome. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are building a live music movement, sharing songs with an international audience. Global harmony is our mission. World peace is our vision.

For the 65th week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "Promesas." In English, this means: "Promises." This theme is selected by Spotlight Artist: @brujulamusical, who is a hip musician with versatile styles including Rap and Reggae, free-flowing lyrically, flying on the guitar. Our community is gifted and lifted by his presence here. Everyone is encouraged to share the collective current as we express and connect through: Promesas.

This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Promesas.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists and share a common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment.

How To Play

1. Produce - Introduce your video with the words: “Hive Open Mic Week [1],” stating your name and performing a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Enjoy harmony with the Hive community by engaging with musicians and music fans through upvotes and uplifting comments.

Greetings and a hug, wishing you are well, as well as the entire team that makes it possible for this window to remain open for all musicians. It is interesting to take the word "Promise" as a reference for this week 65, without any doubt, this word is the one that is used the most in matters of love, I promise to love you for life! I promise to be faithful! I promise to make you happy! I promise not to betray you again! and stop counting, I am sure that this word will inspire composers, from now on I will start working with my theme, greetings.

Hooray - I actually got the theme right this week! LOL 😂

my buddy boy @bbqgriffinwings will be back in the saddle next week! This week he's been working a lot and our schedules have been conflicting! But I'm sure that this weekend we will be sitting down for some jamming! hehehehe so excited for that! 😊

Pido que otros asiduos amigos de esta comunidad también tengan la oportunidad de proponer. Si aparece un tema que haya sido empleado anteriormente lo pueden sustituir. Estos son: "Personajes", "Lluvia de Ideas" y "Contemplación". Espero estudien si son viables. Gracias.

Feliz de compartir con ustedes esta nueva semana, y con mucha alegría les comparto esta canción del artista Colombiano Fonseca, la canción es con la que se popularizó en Venezuela, tiene una letra muy linda, pero también envía un mensaje bastante sólido con respecto al compromiso, porque es de esas canciones que cuando la dedicas a alguién, es porque estas considerando seriamente sentar cabeza, por eso la elegí, porque habla de la promesa de estar ahí en todo momento, de entregar el corazón, y dar amor al máximo.
