Spacegirl — I Just Love Painting

Happy Saturday, Alien Art Hive! Sharing one of my paintings — "Spacegirl" (oil, 2022).

I just love painting. I was born deaf, and for most of my life the hearing world kept its doors closed to me — radio, TV, phones, meetings, all of it shut out. But color never asked me to hear. A canvas doesn't care that I'm deaf. It just listens.

Every painting is a conversation I finally get to have out loud. This one's pure joy — electric teal, hot pink, orange fire — a face looking out at the universe and grinning back at it.
