¡Oh, feliz noche lectores y runners!

Oh, happy evening, readers and runners!

Today we had our themed training session—because every now and then it’s necessary to shake up the group dynamics—and today I’ll tell you how it went for me and what today’s meetup was like.

Today, my friends from Bochinche and I had our weekly Sunday meetup, but there was one condition: we had to wear a jersey from our favorite team.

I’ve always loved and adored Brazilian culture, so I dug out my best Brazil jersey from the ’90 World Cup and off we went for a run.

Everyone was rooting for their team, even if it wasn’t in the final, and we had jerseys from Brazil, Argentina, and even La Vinotinto—because Venezuela will always be in our hearts.

In the end, together with María, my friend who was heading to Spain, Chemi in his Vinotinto jersey, and me in my Brazil jersey, the three of us ran about 8 kilometers.

In my case, I finished the 8 km in 54 minutes and 48 seconds; I could have kept going to 10 km, but my body just couldn’t handle another meter, hahaha. I had an average pace of 6:50/km, which isn’t anything to write home about, but I liked it—running relaxed and in Zone 2 was really enjoyable, especially with friends.

Seeing so many colors on my team today was great; I enjoyed this dynamic training session, and afterward we decided where to watch the final. It’s fun to share this experience with friends who have the same passion.

I’m going to sleep happy tonight, and even though Argentina didn’t win and Brazil wasn’t there, I’m happy with this training session where everyone was cheering for a country no matter what.
