RE: Where Choice Ends and Belief Begins

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

There are exceptions to every rule, but society itself does the same level of conditioning, especially during the time you and I grew up. Also I'm sorry to hear the latter...

I'm sure you won't give them a choice

Of course I will. But I know what comes from living in the world. Nothing. Like I said, I'm from a secular upbringing. And I spent 40 years of my life, living for self.

Once I gave that up, my life actually had purpose. But it was never forced on me, so I'll never force it on them. But I will guide them, as it's my responsibility as a father to do so.

But I can't 'force' them to choose God. Or else, that's not love.

If you don't objectively offer multiple paths, because there are many that lead to the same outcome, to live a good happy life, then you aren't actually giving them a choice. If you constantly pray with them, invoke god for whatever reason and explain things through a biblical lens, you are not giving them a choice. You are indoctrinating them

Thanks for the parenting advice.

Glad you have it figured out lol

Now like I said....I will guide them biblically, but if they choose to follow their own path, I will not force them.

I lived the 'worldly' and ungodly path. It sucks.
