Over a thousand followers, Woot! I just followed you all back!
So I've been on Steemit about a year now and I finally got to 1,000 followers.
It probably wouldn't have taken that long, except that I took a break from writing for a few months.
But now I'm back, and I just wanted to say Thank You to everyone who followed me!
And to say thanks I've followed you all back!
I'm looking forward to reading all the new and interesting authors in my feed.
I'll try to keep on writing more and more this next year.

I think my next goal will be making a voting bot to spread the love even when I'm asleep or away from the computer.

But if you make a voting BOT you wont be reading the content you vote for and you will be damaging the merit system that spreads the love in a fair way based on quality.

Congrats. Just looked over your blog feed. It looks like earlier on you had some decent payouts, but lately in the past few months nothing very much over a dollar. Do you attribute that to the fact Steemit has so much of a larger user base today than it did a year ago, so that its harder to be seen and stand out among the greater amount of content being published, even though you have more followers now than at that time? Curious your take. Cheers.
Hi @curving I think it's because I took such a long break from Steemit and a lot of my older followers didn't seem to be as active as they used to be. I think the trick is to keep posting regularly so that you can build up an active base of followers. Also, earlier I was publishing my first book on Steemit, that seems to work pretty well because then your readers will want to keep coming back to see what happens next in the story-line. The only other reasons I can think of is the fluctuations in the value of steem, and maybe some changes in the way Steemit works since I started.
