(Esp-Eng) Haciendo perros calientes Venezolanos / Making Venezuelan hot dogs

¡Hola a todos! ¿Ya conocen los perros calientes o Hot dogs Venezolanos? Nosotros hicimos en casa en compañía de amigos, eran especialmente para que un amigo brasilero los probara por primera vez y conociera un poquito de nuestra cultura, y pues le gustaron mucho.

Son bastante diferentes que los americanos que solo llevan su pan, salchicha, mostaza, mayonesa, salsa de tomate y listo. No se como serán en otros países, pero me gustaría saber también.

Los perros calientes Venezolanos llevan pan, salchicha,y aquí entra lo diferente, se le coloca cebolla y repollo picaditos bien pequeñitos y zanahoria rallada, queso parmesano, y papitas crujientes rayadas tipo ruffles que las venden especial para perros.

Y luego a esto puedes agregarle toda la variedad de salsas que se te ocurra, adicionales a la mayonesa, salsa de tomate y mostaza, puedes agregarle salsa de maíz, de queso cheddar, de ajo, picante, guasacaca, tártara, barbecue, y todo, todo lo que quieras.

Y pues en la cultura venezolana entre mas salsas y queso parmesano mejor. Si hay un Venezolano por aquí puede hacer presencia confirmando esto.
Ya también en algunos casos puedes agregarle maíz de lata, diferentes quesos rallados que gustes y más.

¿Que tal te parece esta comida? ¿Se te apetece? Nuestro amigo brasilero dijo, "es muy saludable porque es como si le agregaras ensalada" y nosotros nos reímos y le dijimos; lo saludable se le quita cuando le agregas toda esa cantidad de salsas como complemento.

Pero definitivamente es algo que a todo Venezolano nos gusta mucho, y que en cualquier salidita sencilla a dar un paseito por la noche puede incluir comerse unos perritos.

Normalmente puedes conseguir carritos de puestos de "comida callejera" en una grande calle que normalmente se llama calle el hambre, allí consigues, perros, hamburguesas, uno llamado pepito (que viene relleno de diferentes carnes, tocino,queso y lo que gustes), también puedes conseguir shawarma y más.
Tienes variedad para escoger y disfrutar de un buen rato, y luego de ahí ir por unos helados no cae nada mal.

Nosotros aprovechamos la oportunidad de recrear esta receta en casa y disfrutar del momento de compartir nuestra cultura, con nuestro amigo, el se sintió muy a gusto y nosotros quedamos contentos, fue una buena noche diferente que sin duda volvería a repetir.

Hi everyone! Do you already know the Venezuelan Hot Dogs? We made them at home in the company of friends, they were especially for a Brazilian friend to try them for the first time and get to know a little bit of our culture, and he liked them very much.

They are quite different from the American ones that only have bread, sausage, mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup and that's it. I don't know how they are in other countries, but I would like to know too.

Venezuelan hot dogs have bread, sausage, and here's what's different, you add chopped onion and cabbage, grated carrots, parmesan cheese, and ruffles type crispy ruffles chips that are sold especially for dogs.

And in Venezuelan culture the more sauces and parmesan cheese the better. If there is a Venezuelan around here you can confirm this.
In some cases you can also add canned corn, different grated cheeses and more.

What do you think of this meal, do you feel like it? Our Brazilian friend said, "it's very healthy because it's like adding salad" and we laughed and told him; it's not healthy when you add all those sauces as a complement.

But it is definitely something that every Venezuelan likes very much, and that in any simple outing for a walk at night can include eating some dogs.

Normally you can get carts of "street food" stands in a big street that is usually called calle el hambre, there you can get, dogs, hamburgers, one called pepito (which comes stuffed with different meats, bacon, cheese and whatever you like), you can also get shawarma and more.
You have a variety to choose from and enjoy a good time, and after that you can get some ice cream.

We took the opportunity to recreate this recipe at home and enjoy the moment of sharing our culture with our friend, he felt very comfortable and we were happy, it was a good and different night that we would definitely repeat.
