Alt-News: Alt-coin recommendations overview
Hey everyone!
Almost nearing Alt-coin #10 and wanted to make a quick overview of the currencies I've been talking about since I started this series. I've had a few nice messages hit me up on Steemit.chat lately and in the comment sections thanking me for bringing up new currencies to readers that they had not heard of before or knew about the news that had hit them. It feels nice hearing others on the platform have been able to make some profit from my posts and even better when they tell me they are looking into buying more Steem with the profits since they also see it as a long-term investment with almost infinite potential. :)
Anyway, will post the coin, the date when I mentioned it and its price at the time compared to now, but will of course also bring up the ones that may not have done as well over time. Only bringing up the successful ones would not be fair. :)
Thankfully the immutable blockchain is there as proof if anyone wants to proof-check what I am posting here.
29 days ago I wrote about StorJ in Alt-News #4 when it was trading at around $0,52.
It is now trading at $1,12 and saw a huge spike to $2,22 on August 13th.
In the same post I also mentioned IOTA for the first time.
On the 21st of July it was trading at $0,26 and is now at a steady $1.
In Alt-News #5 I was talking about Antshares rebranding to NEO and the big News concerning it.
On the 24th of July it was trading at $8,50 and is now at a whopping $38,40 with an ATH of $52 a week ago.
In that same post I also brought up TenX.
On the 24th of July it was trading between $0,90 and $1,20 and is now at $4,36 with an ATH of $6.
The not so great performer Sia, I wrote about their Asic Miners being sold. This may still be too early since they may not be mining yet thus not yet affecting the hashrate and making the newly minted coins harder to get hence limiting supply and increasing demand.
On the 24th of June when I talked about that they were trading for $0,019 and are currently worth $0,0072.
Not gonna bother posting charts of the recent ones I've brought up.
Asch was $0,80 when I recommended it, now $0,82.
Ark was $1,20 when I recommended it, now $1,65.
Steem was $1,17 when I recommended it, now $1,38.
district0x was $0,13 when I recommended it, now $0,22.
Aragon was $2,45 when I recommended it, now $2,84.
Let's say you invested the same amount in all of the ones I've recommended so far, you'd have these gains right now.
StorJ: 215%
IOTA: 385%
TenX: 415%
SIA: -264%
Asch: 102,5%
Ark: 137,5%
Steem: 118%
district0x: 169%
Aragon: 116%
Hope I'll be able to continue providing fresh news about alternative cryptocurrencies in the future and that we learn and profit from them together. Like always though, you have to be aware of the risks of these investments/trades and to never place more than you can afford to lose. We can never be prepared of what happens and there are many different factors that can go wrong with cryptocurrencies. Do your own re-search and invest with caution.
I really appreciate you sharing different recommendations with us all the time , I become more interested and learn about more and more of them.
TenX seems to have a good rise for those who had brought it before , impressive !! I actually don't know anything about it .
NEO charts left me speechless , that is a damn good increase , I'd like to take that rollercoaster ride

Tenx is also a great choice .
I also believed in NEO. I invested quite heavy in it. But its dropping now post hype period. I believe it will rise again considering thr value it offers. And China market!! China by size of population already controlled lots of share of bitcoin. Include mining shares and also trading market. If NEO is done right, it should skyrocket in China. Oh did i mention they have partnership with alibaba.

Tenx are awesome you can find more information here: https://www.tenx.tech/ They have a wallet App. Soon to release a desktop App also have a Card to spend your Crypto. People who hold $Pay in any Eth wallet (ie MyEtherWallet.com) that processes smart contracts will be rewarded when people start spending on their TenX cards in Eth. This process will be automatic. Also, TenX card holders will be rewarded with $Pay tokens. I hope that helps.

Cool to see that practically all of these coins increased in price since you mentioned them. A lot of people might invest based on your advice because it's a no brainer! haha, keep em' coming :)
seems after bitcoin fork almost all altcoins gained 100% roi , seems need to look into Sia more , because they might be now in top bottom, and if they increase its good money
I think so too!
Prior to the fork, everyone was dumping alts to buy BTC in order to secure their stake on the new chain.

Damn I always pick the wrong time for holidays and such and miss the value. Will be on the watch for the next posts and do some more research on the ones I haven't on that list.

Its alot of solid coins medium and long term besides siacoin that loss interest from the crypto community dont know why...

Excellent post and very concise information. This helps so many new investors to decide on which altcoins to invest. The incentive for profit is what drives everyone to question where exactly to invest. Especially with so many ICO's it can get daunting. Upvoted and will follow your valuable posts.

I need to be in these micro coins so I can buy full coins for small amounts, instead of part of one coin of a bigger coin. Some of these you've mentioned certainly fit the bill, so I will look forward to your next recommendation!

I have invested a lot in Siacoin and have read that you can rent HDD space to Sia if you have 50K Siacoins in your Sia wallet. For 50GB HDD space provided you can earn 50 Siacoin per month. I have not done it yet but will do it for sure if you have done it I would very much appreciate if you can give me some tips how to do and what the maximum of HDD space is to provide. I have a lot HDDs from my Burst mining but would have no problem to rent some of the HDDs to Sia. Thank you and have a nice day.

It will be interesting to see how the asic miners impact the price of SIA once they are delivered. If they have some delays with the miners it could have a negative impact on the coin.

Hi @acidyo, this post has actually inspired me and I've come up with a new competition. It's called Battle Of The Crypto Coins, and basically people enter with their favourite crypto coin, and each week/month the one with the greatest percentage increase wins Steem dollars. Thats is darn good advise you were giving. I shall start following yours since, yeh I have some of the coins you mentioned, but overall I seem to so worse than if I would have left all in BTC. But then again, I'm just a newbie trader who started out a couple of months ago and still into gambling a bit...and gambling usually does not bring the right results.

Interesting picks you made... Thanks for sharing these with us. I am also into NEO, TenX & Steem out of the ones you mentioned. Congrats on your gains. It looks like you did your research and picked some good runners. Probably SIA will go up significantly within the year.
What are your thoughts on Rialto (XRL)? Seems like a fresh project that can move quite a bit in the future once it gets on more than just one exchange. I am into it and it spiked more than 180% the other day before going back to 0.43 cents and now it sits steady at 0.52. The team seems to be highly educated and they are into data mining, AI trading, arbitrage & others... 5 guys on the team have a PHD and although it might be a wild bet, if it works out, it could go a lot more than just 1.20. The supply cap on it is around 76 million currently and the total supply is supposed to be 100 million.On their whitepaper they state: "Our project is positioned to evolve into leading arbitrage fund in the field, with the team that has strong and proven background in the industry". Does that seem too ambitions or could they actually pull it off? I can't say but it looks interesting.
